Reader’s Digest version: 70% of the earth’s surface is water. Of that amount, 3% is fresh water. Of that amount, 1% is potable. Thus the name of the exhibition: “1% Water and Our Future.”
Oh, and this: it takes 10 gallons of water to make a sheet of paper, and 40,000 gallons of water to make a car.
